It's the first thing most people want to know, and the honest answer is: it depends on what you need. Here's a straight breakdown so there are no surprises.
The short answer
In Calgary, a professional individual headshot session usually runs somewhere between $150 and $400, depending on the photographer and what's included. Mine start at $225. Team headshots are priced per person — roughly $75 to $150 each — and drop as the group gets bigger. A branding session (a fuller set of images for your website and marketing) is typically $700 and up.
What actually changes the price
A few things move the number: how long the session is, how many outfits or looks you want, how many final retouched images are included, whether it's shot on-site at your office or on location, the size of your team, and the photographer's experience. Cheaper sessions usually mean less time, fewer edited images, and less guidance on the day.

Individual headshots
For one person, I keep it simple: Essential $225 (a quick session, one retouched image), Signature $300 (more time, a couple of looks, two images), or On-Location $350 at a Calgary spot that suits you. Extra retouched images are $50 each. You can see it all on the pricing page.
Team and corporate headshots
For teams I price per person — $120 each for 3 to 9 people, or $100 each for 10 or more. I bring the setup to your office, everyone gets a matched look, and galleries are delivered in about five business days. The more people, the lower the per-person cost. More on team headshots here.
Branding photography
If you need more than a headshot — photos of you working, your space, your product — that's a branding session. Those start at $750 for a half-day and scale with the number of looks and locations.
My rule: the price should be clear before we book, never a surprise on the day. If you tell me what the photos are for, I'll point you to the option that actually fits — not the most expensive one.
Why the cheapest option can cost more
A rushed $50 headshot that doesn't look like you is money spent twice, because you end up redoing it. A good headshot represents you for years — on LinkedIn, your website, proposals, your bio. Spread over that, the gap between cheap and good is small, and the good one keeps working for you.
